An NBCUniversal Creative Impact Lab commission with Turnaround Arts: California, filmed at McKinley Elementary in Compton. A short film on how arts education changes what a school can feel like — for the kids walking in, and the teachers who stay.
Produced for NBCUniversal in partnership with Turnaround Arts California, this project follows the impact of arts education in underserved schools — the kind of story that only lands if the people telling it actually understand the communities on screen. Digital Bodega handled the project from concept through delivery, staying close to the schools and students at the center of it rather than parachuting in for a single shoot day. The result is a piece built on proximity: the same principle behind every project the studio takes on.
